## Short answer

Yes. Foreigners with a Colombian foreigner ID (cédula de extranjería) can enroll in the national health system through an EPS, in the contributory or subsidized regime depending on their ability to pay.

## Detail

Most retirees with a pension enter the contributory regime and pay a monthly contribution based on income.

Many also buy private coverage (medicina prepagada) for faster access to specialists. Medicare does not pay for care in Colombia.
